What is the vision behind Play the Game and this new format?

Play the Game signals a shift from talking about the game to playing the game. We are moving off the stage and onto the grass to focus on high-level technical application and a more hands-on experience. The upcoming presentation at Virginia Country Club serves as a cornerstone of this movement, but this is only the start.

Will this be available to all coaches?

The presentation at Virginia Country Club serves as a focused environment for technical application. Details about attending will be published soon. The full Play the Game experience will be optimized and distributed to all members via PGA Coach and PGA Coach+, ensuring every PGA of America Golf Professional has access to these world-class instructional tools.

Are there other ways to check out the Play the Game Content?

Because the Play the Game movement is designed for the entire association, the experience doesn't end on the range. All content will be captured and made available through PGA Coach and PGA Coach+.

What is the cost to attend?

The registration fee for the in-person event is $700 per attendee, and will be collected at the time of registration.


Cancellations will be refunded as follows:
⏺ Full Refund: On or before July 1st
⏺ 50% Refund: Between July 1st and September 2nd
⏺ No Refund: Starting September 2nd


Note: Registrations are tied to specific PGA Member IDs and are non-transferable.

What is included in the registration price?

Registration for the Play the Game Presentation includes 3 meals on Monday, 2 meals on Tuesday, a welcome gift, access to two full days of presentations, recordings of select sessions, and a one year subscription credit to PGA Coach+.

To manage the high demand for the in-person environment, invitations with a personalized registration link will be sent via email approximately one to two weeks before the start date of your specific registration window.


Receiving a direct invitation grants you access to register during your specific window, but registration within each window is processed on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.

The event may reach capacity at any point during the registration process. At that time, a waitlist will be formed and will be ordered based on the timestamp of the registration. As spots become available, waitlisted coaches will be confirmed in the order in which they signed up.

Your Time in Long Beach

To assist with your travel planning, please note that all sessions will take place on-site at Virginia Country Club. We recommend arriving in Long Beach by Sunday evening to ensure you are ready for the Monday morning start.


Monday, October 12: Sessions begin at 8:00 AM and conclude with an evening hospitality reception. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.


Tuesday, October 13: Sessions begin at 8:00 AM and will conclude at approximately 5:30 PM. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.


A full schedule, including speaker presentations and meals, will be provided prior to the Presentation.

For those flying in, Virginia Country Club is centrally located near several major airports. We recommend booking travel into:


LGB - Long Beach Airport (~15 mins) – The closest option.
SNA - John Wayne Airport (~30 mins)
LAX - Los Angeles International (~30–45 mins)

Uber and Lyft are readily available across Long Beach and provide easy access to the club. On-site parking is also available.

Due to Covid-19 requirements regarding large events, the State of South Carolina has limited the number of spectators permitted on site at The Ocean Course during the PGA Championship. Therefore, each invited Future Site will only be permitted to send four (4) attendees to the PGA Championship.

If attending the Championship, you will receive a complimentary personalized credential. Your credential will allow you access to the grounds and the restricted areas listed below. While onsite, please wear your credential at all times and show your badge to security personnel when visiting these restricted areas.
